Everyone is looking for the best and most cost effective ways to stay fit. With just a few key items you could turn your home into a perfect place to develop your health and fitness.
For this list I am going to try keep the items around the price range of $50-$100. Here are the top 4 home gym purchases you need to make.
1. Jump Rope (Speed Rope)
Jump Ropes are one of the lightest and least expensive peice of equipment. Prices ranging from $10-$60. Now, I would not recommend spending $60 on a jump rope. In my experience I have found that you can get a quality rope for just $15 that will last you years to come! Most of these ropes have interchangeable cords as well. This gives you the ability to just change out the cord when they break or get worn. Jump Ropes are extremely portable and have the ability to fit in almost every bag or backpack. That makes these really great for throwing in you carry on while traveling. That way you can be sure to have a good workout anywhere you go around the world!
The AbMats might seem simple at first. But once you start using one for sit ups and different core strengthening work, you will wonder how you ever went without. This piece of fitness equipment keeps the lumbar curve of your back in tact when you do a sit up. Making doing sit ups at home with ease. For only $20-$40, these are very inexpensive and a great addition that adds massive amounts of value to your home fitness setup.
3. The Kettlebell
Now this one is by far my favorite piece of fitness equipment. Kettlebells are ridiculously versatile that if you are going on a long road trip and need to get some strength training with a solid weight, this is your product. You can use these to amp up a simple squat, by adding some weight to that front rack, and working those shoulders in the process. Not to mention all the different types of presses and get ups you can start doing. A great addition, if not the addition to the home fitness equipment. These do sometimes have a higher price tag the higher you go up in weight. But, you can still get a moderately heavy weight for a great prices if you look around.
4. Medicine Ball
These are a great addition to any household that wants to add a bit more versatility to your at home setup. Medicine balls are a bit more in price and get more expensive the higher the weight gets. But they are extremely durable and give you the ability to change the way you workout at home.
